If only I could, right? I have 3 children, which I also homeschool so sewing- for me- is limited. I love it when I have a whole day to pick out the perfect fabric to go with an adorable pattern. It's so fun to be able to create clothing from a piece of raw material. While I do sell these pieces, I try to keep it low-key enough that I still enjoy what I do and it doesn't become an extra burden.
I learned to sew from my mom when I was a little girl. She gathered a group of my friends and we had a little sewing class. She's my biggest inspiration for handwork! Her and her mom, my grandma, both. Over the years I've sewn clothing, crocheted rugs, doilies, blankets, socks, baby shoes, quilted, locker-hooked rugs, spun wool on a spinning wheel, knitted... and I'm sure more! I like to be productive with my hands.
I started selling my sewing in 2010 after getting many compliments on things I had made for my daughter. She loves to have me sew for her so that's a blessing!
Thank you for stopping by my shop! I appreciate your support of handmade!
